There has been a steady drumbeat for Milos Raonic this year, with his more enthusiastic supporters proclaiming he has the game and the form to win the US Open. As convincingly has he has been striking the ball in the first week of the tournament, however, the Canadian with the booming serve and feet of cement would have to concede that he did not exactly look championship material on Saturday.
